About Ottawa

Home to about 865,000 people, Ottawa is Canada’s capital and the country’s fourth largest city.
For as long as we’ve lived here, we’ve heard visitors and residents alike describe Ottawa as a big city that feels like a small town. The city is home to great art galleries, fantastic music festivals, delicious local food markets, and of course Parliament Hill – a favourite for politics and news junkies.
Despite everything that is great about Ottawa, far too often we’ve heard people make the joke that it is the “city that fun forgot.”
We’re here to prove otherwise.
